Scuba's Tribute

Our greatly missed dog ‘Scuba’ was the ‘Nicest human ever lived’

This page is devoted to all our friends that shared so many precious moments with us in the company of the nicest wet hairy adorable little bear 'Scuba' who moved on to the sky above us on the 24/09/2005 hit by a car by an unknown driver.
We write these few words to say THANK YOU to all of you who come into the shop and ask year after year unknowingly ‘where is Scuba?’
He was the pride and joy of our dive centre and everybody misses him.
He would walk our divers to the dive site in the morning and make sure no one slipped onto the rocks.
He would fend off outside enemies like small boats and passing pedalos by swimming in circles above our Discover Scuba groups.
He would swim out to the reef almost 1/4 of a mile and back with our experienced divers and often dive getting his whole body into about a meter of water to check on us.
He would swim around us and try to bite our bubbles with the obvious outcome , immerse his 16 stone hairy body and shake it off on the beach to cool down all heat sufering sunbathers and then lay on their beach towels to keep them cool for the rest of the day… or shall we say week..
He would demonstrate for the watersports guy by going for a ringo trip and provide kids with their life jackets before showing them safe swimming practices by offering them his tail and towing them around the shallow end.
He was the only soaked water dripping hairy bear that could walk into any bar around Kassiopi’s beautifull fishing harbour and be greeted with love and affection by both customers and staff and be offered on the house anything from an ice cream to a full meal and then happily clean up after him without annoyance.
He was my two baby daughter’s brother shared their toys and showered them with kisses and slobber… but they loved him and miss him and they want his kids to come down to earth and play with us again…..you never know.
